Hoopfest, Spokane
All day event
This event draws 100,000 people to downtown Spokane! You can't help but pass out hundreds of tracts at this venue. Shoulder-to-shoulder foot traffic through streets will provide you with abundant opportunities to share the gospel. We will be doing some open-air preaching in various locations, so come prepared to be stretched! No need to bring your own tracts, as we will supply them for you.
We'll meet at Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities at 9:00 am and carpool from there to Spokane. Depending on how the day goes, we should return to TC anywhere from 7-9:00 pm. This will be an unforgettable day of fun, fellowship and faith as we rely on the Lord's strength to carry out his will of bringing the message of salvation to those who sit in the shadow of death.
Please let us know if you will be attending, so we can have transportation plans in place.
Saturday July 4th
Event 1
Howard Amon Park, Richland
12:00 noon - 2:00 pm
Tracts, one-to-one witnessing, and open-air preaching. This is a great place to have wonderful conversations, as people are relaxed and in a pleasant atmosphere. This is a great place to get your feet wet if you are just beginning to jump into the waters of evangelism. We will meet at the round-a-bout at the center of the park and spread out from there.
Saturday July 4th
Event 2
Columbia Park, Kennewick
6:00 pm - after Fireworks are over
Tracts, one-to-one witnessing and plenty of open-air preaching. This will be an event to remember. We will split into groups and most likely be spread out even into Pasco. Tens of thousands of people will be lining the river-front in droves. The best part is, they have nothing to do but sit there and wait for the display to begin, so all we need to do is set up and begin speaking, and we'll have a captive audience immediately.
Please come out and join us, as we will need all the help we can get. You won't believe how much God can use you in one night! You'll be blessed and encouraged as you see Him working through you and other members of the team.
